Conference Venues at The Tannery

The Tannery is one of the most unique conference venues Christchurch has to offer, so is the perfect venue to hold your conference or business event. With a variety of venues to suit your guest list and budget, you can be sure the Events Team at the Tannery will plan a seamless event.

The following venues can accommodate conference and corporate events:

The Atrium

The Atrium is the ultimate canvas for your event. Tastefully designed and meticulously appointed with French tiled floors, mahogany shop fronts, and stained glass, The Atrium comfortably accommodates 350 guests for a gala dinner. The ceiling comes to life with iron arches and the translucent roof, highlighted with fairy lights. The Atrium can accommodate sit down dinners for up to 350 guests, and cocktail events for up to 600 guests.

The Metropolitan Lounge

The Metropolitan Lounge is perfect for conferences of up to 160 people. It has a state of the art in-built AV system, and automated blind system which allows for plug and play presentations or other entertainment. With its extensive west-facing deck and elaborate private staircase it is The Tannery’s most flexible event space, all day every day.

The AGA Kitchen

The AGA Kitchen is a smaller venue offering a private dining room, so is perfect for a business event or conference which is centred around a meal. Cassels & Sons at The Tannery provide fine food for you to host intimate corporate functions. All menus change seasonally and are tailored for our guests and any specific dietary requirements. The AGA releases a distinctive, gentle, welcoming warmth into our private dining room creating a unique atmosphere that your guests will cherish.

The AGA Kitchen is used exclusively for business breakfasts, lunches, high teas and delicious dinners for up to 50 guests (or up to 80 for cocktail style functions). Additional services such as music, AV systems and projectors, or a photographer can be arranged with our Events Manager.
